Your Step-by-Step Recovery Guide
Swan Neck is an advanced anti-wrinkle treatment designed to soften the appearance of vertical neck bands (platysmal bands) and create a smoother, more defined neck profile. By carefully relaxing specific neck muscles, the treatment can improve neck contour while maintaining natural movement and expression. For the safest recovery and the best possible results, please follow the aftercare guide below.
Step 1: Remain Upright
Remain upright for at least 4 hours following your treatment. Avoid lying flat or bending over excessively during this time.
Step 2: Avoid Touching the Area
Do not rub, massage or apply pressure to your neck for the first 24 hours. This allows the product to settle into the targeted muscles.
Step 3: Avoid Exercise and Heat
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and excessive heat for 24 hours, as these may increase swelling, bruising and irritation.
Step 4: Be Gentle Around the Neck
Avoid tight collars, neck massages and aesthetic treatments on the neck for at least 24 hours. Try not to apply unnecessary pressure to the treated area.
Step 5: Delay Active Skincare
Avoid using exfoliating acids, retinol or other active skincare products on the neck until the following day. Continue using a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and daily SPF.
Step 6: Allow Time for Results
You may begin to notice improvements within 3–7 days, with full Swan Neck treatment results typically developing over 10–14 days as the muscles gradually relax.
Step 7: Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water and maintain a healthy lifestyle to support your body's natural healing process and optimise your treatment results.
Step 8: Contact AJM Aesthetics If Needed
Mild redness, tenderness or small injection marks are normal and should settle quickly. If you experience significant swelling, difficulty swallowing, increasing pain or any symptoms that concern you, please contact AJM Aesthetics for advice.
Maintaining Your Results
The results of Swan Neck treatment are temporary and can be maintained with regular review appointments. Your practitioner will recommend a personalised treatment schedule based on your anatomy, aesthetic goals and how your muscles respond to treatment.
